Introduction

For the fifth time in its history the Clube de Montanha do Funchal is organizing the Madeira Orienteering  Festival.

​

Four Municipalities with excellent conditions for Tourism and Nature Sports (Funchal, Porto Moniz, Machico and Santa Cruz) will be joined in an effort to create an unforgettable event.

​

The Madeira Orienteering Festival is a Pedestrian Orienteering event, integrated the Madeira Cup of the Portuguese Orienteering Federation, but open to people of all ages, who can participate in the competition or open classes, individually or in groups.

The Madeira Orienteering Festival will consist of the following events:

• February 9th, 2017 – Nocturnal Sprint Race – Funchal;

• February 10th, 2017 – Middle Distance Race – Fanal;

• February 10th, 2017 – Sprint Race– Porto Moniz;

• February 11th, 2017 – Middle Distance Race – Poiso East;

• February 12th, 2017 – Middle Distance Race – Poiso West;
